On a truly awful day, more than 20 parishioners turned out, braving driving rain and very strong, cold winds, to rid the Parish of the annual crop of litter. As you can see above, a substantial harvest was obtained. All four routes from the centre of the village were explored, and no take away wrapper or drinks can was left unturned. The Rose Triangle, after being weeded last weekend by Claire Smith and here team, was covered in bark. The playground also had its bark replenished. Meanwhile, Alan and I attempted to unblock the village pond outfall, but this defeated us, being blocked in several places between the pond sump and the outfall below The Vicarage.

Many thanks to everyone who turned up, and especially to George for organising the equipment.
