In the autumn East Herts Council will be introducing major changes to your refuse and recycling services and will be coming to Little Berkhamsted on 15 July to talk residents of Little Berkhamsted, Brickendon and Bayford about the new scheme.
The scheme is called ARC — Alternate Refuse Collection. You’ll be able to recycle more materials more easily.
Food waste and cardboard can be added to garden waste in your brown bin and it will all be composted.
Another new material we’ll be collecting from your kerbside is plastic bottles and we’ll give you a blue box for them.
Because you’ll be putting much less in your black bin we’ll only need to collect it once a fortnight, with your brown bin collected on the alternate week.
